Rafe and Steve form Allaboutsymbian.com had a detail review of Samsung OMNIA HD like mentioned below.

The software still had debug code so it might be better developed.
OMNIA HD maybe is the biggest screen phone, its heigh is relatively tall compared with others. It has bright and contrast color screen compare with others (in this chance are iPod Touch and Nokia 5800). OMNIA HD has the same problem with Nokia 5800, both dont have multi-touch. Before tapping a new key, you must lift off the previous key completely. Doing it too fast, a small overlap will happen and 2 inputs can be processed.

Samsung S5600 Review

Samsung S5600 is finally launched and will be followed by Samsung S5230 soon. Samsung S5600 has the midrange market target, and become one of touchscreen type. Seeing it, we are remembered of the previous HTC Touch regarding its shape, display and size. The phone features Samsung TouchWiz UI and not belongs to smartphone. Not being in high-end phone class, the phone had offered the appropriate equipments.

Samsung A877 will be Launched in 3/29 for AT&T

Have ever heard about the previous rumor about “Jackfrost” model that assumed to launch on 3/29? The yet unnamed phone is strongly predicted as Samsung A877.

The launching date of Samsung A877 will be on 29 March thru AT&T according to an anonymous publication. The nice messaging phone brings these features:

In MWC event about a half month ago, this phone was introduced by Samsung. Samsung UltraTOUCH then become one of the most remarkable phones that succesfully gets more attention from phone users. It is because the phone is not only has excellent style, but more than that, the phone is designed to fulfill the users taste of high-end and multi purpose device.

Samsung Latest Touchscreen Phone, S5600 and S5280

Above the photos of the newest Samsung touchscreen phones. They are S5600 and S5280 that both use Samsung’s TouchWiz interface, featured with up to 8GB MicroSD and internal memories. Their 3-megapixel cameras come with smile recognition. They are quadband and support Bluetooth 2.1.

Both the phones are featured with “Gesture Lock”, means that you can wake the phones and go directly to an item or menu depends on what gesture you make. Seems strange? Nice thing to be tried.

Advanced Graphics for Omnia HD from IMAGINATION

In the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year, IMAGINATION and Sony Ericsson had demonstrated the Samsung Omnia HD capabilities on excellent graphics.

Referring to Imagination’s Marketing Vice-President, Tony King-Smith, he said that besides demonstrating Omnia HD graphics power, his company will also be Samsung’s partner in its SDK support that features shader-graphics support.

The demonstration located in Imagination’s stand at MWC, Hall 2 #2A05, showed the visitor its advanced shader-based graphics that also become the first in mobile handset. This chance we would like to give appreciation to Imagination’s POWERVR SGX graphics core. Please refer to Symbian Knowledge Base topic in order to applying the technology on your application.

Google Android and LiMo Based Phone

Samsung have planed to launch its newest products, Google Android and LiMo based phones. It is like Won-Pyo Hong as the Samsung’s product strategy head, had been said, that also reported by Reuters in Barcelona, Spain. Both of the new phones will be released by the year. All the new phones included three Google Android-based smartphones and LiMo-based handset as well. More detail, the two phones have been planed to be launched in market by the end of the year according to European and American phone markets.

Getting the Omnia HD Before Anyone Else

The newest phone of Samsung, the Omnia HD has not yet been released todays. But there is a chance for Samsung fans to get it earlier before its official launch. You are welcomed to participate at Samsung program to get the phone for free. The participants need to be qualified as the 50 selected winners that will be Omnia HD ambassadors to get the phone. The new Omnia HD Ambassador program stated that the winners will have responsibility to be at the forefront for introducing that upcoming phone. The selected participants will introduce the phone by filming, playing, blogging, chatting and demonstrating its capabilities.
