10 Million Star Phones are Sold

Have you ever know Samsung Star? It turns out the handset is the best selling phone of Samsung. The company has announced the handset has been sold more than 10 million units. Samsung Star is the touchscreen phone codenamed S5230. It had been launched back in May ’09. Further more, Sammy said Samsung Star is the 1st device that successfully reaches the milestone in that short period.

Among the Samsung devices that succeed in reaching 10 million units barrier, the Star is the sixth. The achievement even is better than E250 that had reached 10 million mark in 10 months.

The announcement also states that Star has passed 5 million units in 4 months after launching with 700,000 units were sold in May, 900,000 units in June and 1.6 million in July and 1.7 million units in August. The next months, September and October, the sales have surpassed 2 million units per month.
